Who We Are

Our Mission

To inspire hearts and minds through interactive arts & education programs. We aim to improve the lives of children and young adults and to also provide opportunities for the community to connect for positive change through local volunteerism related to our programs.

Our Organization

I Inspire is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses the motivational power of the arts with interactive technologies and educational tools to bring comfort to the sick, promote volunteerism and inspire local communities to come together for positive change. All of our programs have the “human component” at its center whether it be the children we serve, the communities we inspire to volunteer or even the technologies we utilize. I Inspire is about inspiring hearts and minds to come together for positive change.

Our Major Focus

I Inspire Hearts™
We Read Bedtime Stories To Sick Kids

Utilizing community volunteers we go into hospitals and read stories to patients in the pediatric unit without the use of traditional paper books. We provide Apple iPads® to our volunteers where they read engaging and uplifiting stories to children in a way that speaks to today’s child who has grown up using technology. The tablet devices engage patients and provide a kind of interactivity and enhanced reading experience not available through the use of traditional books. In addition we have the opportunity to have more diverse engagement with children by taking advantage of thousands of digital arts & education apps that help to fulfill our mission of inspiring hearts and minds and improving lives.

Future Programs

Live Hospital Performances

The Healing Arts had been a staple in healthcare before modern times being known for helping to improve the overall mental and emotional health of patients. Today hospitals are recognizing not benefit of providing certain forms of artistic expression to patients, staff and visitors. In the coming months I Inspire will launch a hospital based set of programs bringing live performance and visual arts to public spaces within the institution and also at the patient’s bedside. These venue appropriate expressions improve the quality of care for the patient and provide relaxing, stress reducing enjoyment for staff and visitors inspiring hearts and minds in an environment that can be mentally and emotionally challenging.

I Inspire Minds™

Currently under development this is a program that fuses visual and performance art with dialogue and community volunteerism. We combine live performance, visual arts, and arts festivals with campus dialogues, panel sessions (pic left) around specific social themes. We then take the program further by providing local volunteer opportunities where the various student groups we have brought together can network with their local communities on volunteerism.
